Method: colorimetric with test strips (individually sealed ) 10 – 25 – 50 – 100 – 250 – 500
The nitrate test can be used for monitoring of drinking water, process water and wastewater, as well as aquarium water where limits can quickly be exceeded. It can also be used for determine nitrate in food e.g. potatoes.
Contain in bottle: 100 test strip
Shelf life: store 10-22C 2 year
Results: 2 second
Drinking Water
• The largest source of nitrates in water comes from
nitrogen-based fertilizers that get into shallow drinking
water wells that are typically in rural areas.
• Other nitrates may get into water from animal wastes
and poor working sewer systems.
• For infants who are bottle-fed, nitrate poisoning can
happen when nitrate contaminated drinking water is
used to dilute formula.
